Funky Time Game

Funky Time Game Guide

Funky Time is a popular live casino game from Evolution, featuring an exciting Wheel of Fortune. The game has a retro 70s disco theme. There are no fewer than four bonus games with massive multipliers up to 10,000x and a maximum win of €500,000 per spin at non GamStop casinos. Want to know how to win this massive amount? First, learn how to access bookmakers not on GamStop to make sure you’re playing on platforms that actually offer Funky Time and similar high-payout games.

What is Funky Time?

After the mega-success of Crazy Time, Evolution must have had its hands full finding a worthy successor at non GamStop casinos. We have good news, as they succeeded in May 2023!

As we all know, Evolution is a master of spectacle, and the show is just as important as the gameplay. In a breathtaking studio with disco music and glitter balls, you’ll travel back in time to relive the 70s at non GamStop casinos. The game presenter is also in the mood, with platform shoes and flared trousers or a disco dress. Groovy! It’s not just the theme that’s new. Significant gameplay changes have been made, thanks to four unique bonus games. This makes for a completely different experience than Crazy Time. In addition, Evolution has developed a new and unique wheel, the Digiwheel, especially for this game.

The Digiwheel has 64 segments and the bets are divided into three groups:

• The number 1

• The letters of the words FUNK, PLAY and TIME

• The 4 bonus games BAR, STAYIN’ ALIVE, DISCO and VIP DISCO

How to play the casino game Funky Time?

You play Funky Time Live by placing a bet on one of the 64 segments of a Wheel of Fortune. The live presenter spins the wheel, and the clapper stops it on a space. If you bet on the number 1 or a letter and the wheel stops on that space, you win the corresponding payout. If you bet on a bonus game, you advance to the bonus round. As a reward for your bet in the bonus round, you receive multipliers.

Funky Time Digiwheel

The Digiwheel, or Wheel of Fortune, consists of 64 segments that correspond to three different betting groups. You can bet on multiple segments:

1. The number ‘1’: there are 28 boxes with the number 1. If you bet on a 1 and the clapper lands on this box, you will receive 1x your stake (1:1).

2. Letters: There are 24 boxes containing the letters of the words PLAY, TIME, and FUNK. If you bet on a letter and the clapper lands on that box, you receive 25 times your bet (25:1).

3. Bonus games: There are 12 bonus game slots – 6 for the BAR bonus game, 3 for the DISCO bonus game, 2 for the STAYIN’ ALIVE bonus game, and one for the VIP DISCO bonus game. If you bet on a bonus game and the jackpot lands on this slot, you advance to that bonus round.

Random multipliers (2x – 50x) can be scattered across the Digiwheel and land on certain spaces. These multiply the payouts of the space where the wheel stops. This applies to both the number and letter spaces and the bonus game spaces, and can dramatically increase your winnings.

Funky Time Bonus Games

The fun thing about these mini-games is that they also maintain the swinging seventies theme. The games are played on a slot machine. The RNG ( Random Number Generator ) determines what happens – so you watch the game unfold, hoping to win a nice multiplier. The first two bonus games require you to take action.

BAR bonus game

If you bet on BAR and the wheel stops on that space, you’ll enter the bonus game. You’ll go to a funky bar and, at the start of the round, must choose a blue, yellow, or purple mocktail. The glasses are filled by the robot bartender, and each glass receives a random multiplier (2x – 20x).

While pouring, the slot machine adds a multiplier, which is randomly added to one of the glasses. These two multipliers are then multiplied together, so with a little luck, you can land a hefty win.

Stayin’ Alive bonus game

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin’ alive, stayin’ alive ♫”. In this bonus round, you try to stay in the game as long as possible. It’s a bit like Bingo, because there are 90 balls to be drawn. You have to choose from three ladders: green, purple, or orange. If you choose the right color, a ‘1 STEP’ ball moves you up one level on the ladder of multipliers and a ‘2 STEP’ ball moves you up two levels. The higher you go, the higher the multipliers become, with a maximum multiplier of 10,000 x.

Black “STOP” balls can also be drawn; in that case, you lose a life. Losing four lives ends the bonus game. Remember that the multipliers on the ladders increase if you have a qualifying multiplier on the Digiwheel’s bonus area. In that case, all multipliers at the start of the bonus round are multiplied by that amount.

DISCO and VIP DISCO bonus games

These two bonus games have the same setup, but VIP DISCO offers more. The DISCO dance floor has 37 tiles, while the VIP DISCO dance floor has 63. The game begins with Mr. Funky in the center of the dance floor, with a multiplier on each tile. If a qualifying Digiwheel multiplier is active, it will be applied to the dance floor multipliers at that point.

The game host spins a small wheel with eight spaces representing four directions: left, right, up, and down. When the wheel stops, that’s the direction Mr. Funky has to dance—he moves one space per spin. Along the way, he picks up multipliers from the floor; for the DISCO bonus round, these range from 1x to 100x, but for the VIP version, they can go up to 500x. The bonus round ends when Mr. Funky falls off the dance floor. In these bonus rounds, you can also earn a maximum multiplier of 10,000x your stake.

Win Funky Time

If you bet on the number 1 or one or more letters and the wheel stops on your box, you win and you will be paid out immediately.

If you bet on a bonus game and win, you advance to the bonus round. The most profitable game is not the VIP DISCO bonus game, but the BAR bonus game; you can see this in the table below. The highest multiplier in the game is 10,000x, and the total maximum payout is €500,000.

Bet and winnings payout

The game is simple and the minimum bet is only €0.10, making it suitable for players of all budgets. Depending on your bet, there are slight variations in the payout percentage (RTP).
